We at kvm-tec have already considered not to develop a closed switching system when we started our development of the KVM Extender, which is now 12 years ago. Our mastermind Dietmar Pfurtscheller was from the very beginning interested in being compatible with standard network components and thus being able to offer the systems much more flexible and cost-effective. What was smiled at back then, has now become the latest trend and therefore kvm-tec has a clear advantage on the market. What counts now is flexibility, such as standard switches, expandability, a great price-performance ratio and no overpriced and inflexible systems.
