Bitmap update
kvm-tec extenders are updated using a Windows bitmap image. No additional cable is required, the image contains all relevant information. All you have to do is open the image and start the update via hotkey in the menu. A detailed description can be found in the firmware update included
How many connections are possible with kvm-tec extenders?
Maximum 2000 endpoints
MX Extender is required for more connections.
USB Emulation Mode
In the USB emulation mode it is not possible to use a USB stick, because there is no real USB transferred, but an emulated one.
Bios not callable or controlling in BIOS not possible? ( Basic Input Output System)
For this there is the USB Commpatibility Mode (accessible via 5x Scroll Lock - G - L),
which can lead to a problem solution, especially with older PCs. (e.g. HP z400)
Can a HDMI signal be transferred to audio?
Ultraline UVX can transfer an HDMI signal to audio.
Is bios level access supported with the MX (or UVX)?
When booting the PC, there is a so-called BIOS Basis IO system before the operating system.
Before the operating system starts there is a bios on the motherboard (new motherboards are called UFI - unified extensible interface)
In the Bios you can set whether a logo should be shown, fast booting etc
